Frequently Asked Questions
Are there online certification options?
Yes. You can complete the entire TFC Pro Certification online via the fully digital pathway. If you choose to attend the 1-day in-person TFC Pro Certification event, there's still an online component - additional training modules and the final certification assessments are completed online.
How long does the in-person Pro Certification Event take?
The in-person event is a 1-day live intensive seminar, followed by online modules to complete your certification. This will accelerate and enhance your learning in a practical and hands on way and aid you in your completion of the online certification, however, it is not essential that you attend an in-person event.
Can I do everything self-paced?
Yes. The fully online certification pathway is self-paced via the TFC Pro Membership. You work through the education content and complete the modules and final assessment online without needing to attend any in-person events.
Do I need to be a TFC Pro Member prior to coming to the in-person certification?
Not necessarily. You have two options:
- Option 1 (online): Join the TFC Pro Membership first, then start your certification pathway. Your membership gives you access to the TFC app, Pro Training Library, live webinars, community channels, and Pro discounts including a discount on in-person TFC Pro Certification events if you decide to attend one.
- Option 2 (in-person): Register for an in-person TFC Pro Certification event. Your event ticket includes a 90-day trial of a TFC Pro Membership, so you'll receive membership access and all of the included benefits following the event.
What happens after I complete the in-person TFC Pro Certification event?
Following the event, you'll receive access to your 90-day trial of the TFC Pro Membership (if you are not already a member) and can then continue your learning journey by studying the online modules inside the online Pro Training Library. This is also where you can complete the online Pro Certification Assessment. Once passed, you will receive a digital certificate to confirm your TFC Pro Certification (valid for 24-months) along with a link to submit your business details to be listed on our global TFC Directory.
What's the difference between TFC Pro Certification and TFC Guide Certification?
TFC Pro Certification is clinically focused and designed for health or movement professionals (like physios, podiatrists, and trainers) who want to apply TFC's approach in their professional practice. It covers lower-limb biomechanics, assessment principles, and clinical application of TFC tools.
TFC Guide Certification is a 2-day, movement-focused certification for running TFC-branded events and classes. It's geared toward leading group experiences rather than clinical practice.
Can I be both a TFC Pro and a TFC Guide?
Yes, you can hold both certifications. Many practitioners choose to become both a TFC Pro and a TFC Guide to expand their scope - using TFC's clinical approach in their practice while also leading TFC-branded community events and classes.
Recommended pathway:
- If you're a health or movement professional wanting to integrate TFC into your clinical practice first, start with TFC Pro Certification.
- Once certified as a TFC Pro, you can then pursue TFC Guide Certification to add group facilitation and community programming to your offerings.
- If your primary goal is leading TFC-branded classes and events, you may start with TFC Guide Certification and add the Pro pathway later for deeper clinical knowledge.
Your pathway depends on your professional focus and goals. Both certifications complement each other well.
What discounts do I receive as a TFC Pro Member?
As a TFC Pro Member, you receive exclusive discounts on TFC education and products, including:
- Discounted access to TFC Guide Certification: Pro Members receive a discount when registering for the 2-day TFC Guide Certification.
- Pro pricing on TFC products and tools: Access discounted rates on TFC equipment like SoleMates, Wild Toes, Foot Sacks, and other tools.
