What you'll learn:

  • The two pathways to becoming a certified TFC Pro: fully online or through a 1-day in-person intensive seminar followed by online modules
  • How the in-person Pro Certification event works as a compressed, single-day delivery of core certification content
  • That regardless of which pathway you choose, final certification modules and assessments must be completed online
  • That you have the flexibility to complete the entire certification pathway online without attending any in-person events if you prefer

What is the TFC Pro Certification?

The TFC Pro Certification is a focused, clinically‑oriented education experience for health professionals to become certified TFC Pros and be listed on our global directory for referrals from our community.

Purpose

  • Give health and movement professionals a clear, practical understanding of TFC's clinical approach to the foot, ankle and lower limb.
  • Help professionals confidently use TFC tools and principles to support clients with pain, injury, and performance goals.

Format (high‑level)

  • Pathways:
    • Fully online certification pathway (self‑paced learning + online final modules and assessments).
    • In‑person Pro Certification event (1‑day live intensive seminar) with online follow‑up modules for accelerated completion.
  • Focus: Clinical education and application in practice.
  • Who it's for: Health or movement professionals (for example physios, podiatrists, trainers) wanting a deeper clinical understanding of TFC's method.

How it differs from TFC Guide Certification

  • TFC Guide Certification: 2‑day, movement‑focused certification for running TFC‑branded events and classes.
  • TFC Pro Certification: Clinically‑focused certification for applying TFC's approach in a professional practice, with both online and in‑person + online pathways.

What is the TFC Pro Certification event (in‑person event)?

The in‑person TFC Pro Certification event (previously called the Pro Seminar) is a 1‑day live intensive delivery of the key certification content, supported by online learning.

At a high level, an in‑person Pro Certification event:

  • Runs as a one‑day clinical seminar that condenses the core curriculum.
  • Is led by TFC Pro Educators
  • Focuses on:
    • Lower‑limb biomechanics and foot function
    • Assessment and treatment principles aligned with TFC's philosophy
    • Practical application of TFC tools in clinic (for example SoleMate, Beams, Toe Bands)
  • Is designed to be immediately applicable in professional practice.

Online component for in‑person attendees

  • After the event, practitioners complete final certification modules and any required assessments online.
  • These online modules reinforce key concepts from the live day and ensure consistent competency across cohorts.

Details such as dates, locations, pricing and registration are managed via our public event pages and may change over time.

What is the TFC Pro Certification online assessment?

The TFC Pro Certification online assessment is the formal process that verifies your knowledge, skills, and alignment with The Foot Collective's philosophy and methodology.

What the online assessment includes

  • Theoretical assessment: A comprehensive quiz covering TFC philosophy, anatomy & physiology, conditions, assessments, and training methodology.
  • Physical competency assessment: Demonstration of balance and foot function through the TFC Balance Screen.
  • Official TFC Pro Certificate: Recognition as a Certified TFC Pro once you meet the assessment and competency requirements.

Passing the online TFC Pro Certification assessment is mandatory to be listed on the TFC Pro Directory. Your assessment completion verifies your certified status for 24 months. You will need to renew your certification at the same interval.

How is the Pro Certification different from the Guide Certification?

While both certifications show commitment to TFC principles, they are designed for different roles:

  • TFC Pro Certification
    • Designed for health and movement professionals and practitioners who want to integrate TFC methodology into their clinical or coaching practice.
    • Required if you want to be listed on the TFC Pro professional directory as a Certified TFC Pro.
  • TFC Guide Certification
    • Designed for individuals who want to host official TFC events and classes in their community.
    • Focused on running TFC‑branded workshops and classes, serving as ambassadors who teach TFC principles to groups and lead community workshops.

What if I am already a TFC Pro listed on the directory?

All existing TFC Pros will have 12 months (From December 10th 2025) to complete the online certification.

We recognise that you have already committed to being part of the TFC Pro community, so there is a 12‑month transition period to complete the new online assessment while keeping all current benefits.

During the 12‑month transition period:

  • You will maintain full access to all TFC Pro Membership benefits.
  • Your directory listing will remain active.
  • You will continue to receive your 50% wholesale discount and affiliate commissions (15% on physical products and 30% on digital programs).
  • You will keep access to all Pro community features, including live events, community forums, and the WhatsApp channel.

After the 12‑month period:

  • To maintain your directory listing and the "TFC Pro" title in the community, you will need to complete the online certification.
  • If you choose not to complete the certification, you will still have access to all other membership perks (discounts, community access, affiliate codes), but your directory listing will be removed.

This transition is designed to be fair and supportive: it honours your existing commitment while ensuring the integrity and consistency of the TFC Pro community going forward.

All current Pro’s must be fully certified by 9th December 2026 in order to retain their TFC Directory Listing

How do I become certified? Are there in‑person and online options?

Step 1 - Apply to become a TFC Pro Member

  1. Go to the TFC Pro Membership page on our website and review the inclusions. Please contact us should you have any questions.
  2. Join the membership.
  3. Once subscribed, you'll receive access to:
    • The TFC app and Pro resources
    • Pro community channels
    • Your Pro discounts, wholesale and affiliate programs
    • Directory listing (once certified).

Some practitioners may have been granted Pro access through earlier TFC programs (for example the original Foot Nerd Training Program). Those practitioners are contacted directly with their access and activation details.

Step 2 - Choose your certification pathway

You can complete the TFC Pro Certification in two ways:

Option A - Fully online Pro Certification (included in TFC Pro Membership)

The online certification is a self‑paced assessment pathway that allows you to become a Certified TFC Pro without attending an in‑person event. Choose this option if you prefer self‑paced learning and want the flexibility to complete your certification on your own schedule.

This option includes:

  • Access to the Pro Training Library: Study all Pro training modules at your own pace inside the TFC Pro platform.
  • Physical competency assessment: Demonstration of balance and foot function through the TFC Balance Screen.
  • Theoretical assessment: A comprehensive quiz covering TFC philosophy, anatomy & physiology, conditions, assessments, and training methodology.
  • Official TFC Pro Certificate: Issued once you achieve 85% or higher on the assessment and meet the physical competency requirements.

Option B - In‑person Pro Certification Event (1‑day live intensive + online assessment)

The in‑person Pro Certification Event is a fast‑tracked, immersive, 1‑day seminar that delivers the core Pro curriculum in a live, hands‑on format. Choose this option if you prefer intensive, in‑person learning in a group setting and want to fast‑track your understanding of TFC methodology.

It focuses on:

  • Practical, hands‑on training in TFC's methodology and clinical approach.
  • Live guidance from TFC Pro Educators.
  • Applying TFC tools (for example SoleMate, Beams, Toe Bands) in real‑world scenarios.

Important: Even if you attend the in‑person event, you still need to complete the online certification assessment to earn your official TFC Pro Certification.

Step 3 - Complete any post‑certification onboarding or requirements

For either pathway, you will need to complete the onboarding steps related to:

  • Your directory listing.
  • Pro community channels.
  • Any additional learning or reflections required for that cohort.

Once the above is completed, your status is updated to certified TFC Pro in our systems (including the public directory).

Which pathway should I choose?

  • Choose the in‑person event if you learn best through live, hands‑on workshops and want an accelerated experience.
  • Choose the online certification if you want maximum flexibility and prefer to work through the material and assessments at your own pace.

Whichever pathway you choose, you must:

  • Pass the online certification assessment; and
  • Maintain an active TFC Pro Membership to appear on the TFC Pro Directory as a Certified TFC Pro.
